Here's some Phineas and Ferb cupcakes....

Well as you can tell I didn't ACTUALLY make cupcakes that look like Phineas or Ferb but I did make the cupcake pics of Phineas and Ferb...ok well actually I ordered the digi image. BUT I did make the pics and the cuppies!!!
So what do you think?? The end size is 1.5" and they can be made up to 2.5" and in SEVERAL different images not just P & F.
I got them off a great seller on Etsy, I'll come back with a link to her store I just don't have it handy right now.
I can make these for any occasion and charge $0.25 a piece (discount for large quantities).

It's like breaking a bad habit! I WANT to do it, I WANT to blog...I just can't find the dedication to keep it up to date, especially since I have a Facebook page for Scrapbook District
BUT here I am, I'm going to try SOOOOOO hard to check in and share more of the things I find and I'd like to share rather then my own personal creations, which I will post from time to time.

Well, I've had Vegas on my mind since hubby and I will be going in a couple of weeks SO I thought I'd throw together this little mini album. When I got my hands on the book I realized it just didn't have enough pages so I thought I'd have some fun and add my own pages to it. In order to stay creative I did just add regular old pages, I made it interactive, they flip in and out, up and down.

Here's a cute little chipboard album I found on one of my shopping adventures. I fell in love right away...a MARTINI GLASS...REALLY...I LOVE IT!!!! That was pretty much my exact reaction when I seen it, LOL.

The album is painted with a white pearl and then coated in clear glitter, I also used a green bling paper to add some sparkle. It holds 8 photos or journaling spots with to mini pages for extra journaling or photos.

Another store closing...so sad!

So today I drove up to Anaheim Hills to take advantage of a bittersweet sale at Scrappin in the Hills they are closing on July 30th. Everything in stock was 40% off and clearance is 75% off! My mom LOVED this store, I liked it to off course but she liked it so much we drove up there today to get our last shopping spree in. The inventory is slimming down so get there soon! Call and make sure the sale is still on before you go.
The best part of it was I happened to catch the sparkle of another store as we were cruising down the freeway! Well it's not new but I hadn't been there before, amazing I know!
Wooten's Co Scrapbooking and it was HUGE! They have tons of product and if I have to be honest the embellishments were a tad pricey but when you see what you like what does price have to do with it???? LOL! I picked up the cutest little chipboard album in the shape of a martini glass, I can't to get that done!!!!
That's about it...I have to go pack up my stuff for a craft show I'll be at tomorrow, Scripps Farmer's Market.

OK, I didn't post pictures when I said I would BUT I was really busy finishing up several projects and have literally spent ALL day today photographing, editing, measuring, posting, setting up accounts, just basically paying attention to my business. I've neglected it so much over the past months, time to buckle down.

So we wrapped up the last day of the Cricut Roadshow today and I'm so sad! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get extended but no word yet. I'm going to miss the people, the educating, the demo'ing and most of all Kelli...the best co-worker EVER!! We had such a blast working together.

On a happy note, I do have LOTS of things to share with you but that will happen tomorrow, be sure to check back OFTEN. Now that the kids are off school I get to spend a little more time crafting, no schedules!

OK, I promised pics yesterday but like always the day got away from me and by the time I knew it...I was coming home from work TODAY! Where does the time go and BLESS all the parents that work full time everyday. I don't think I can do that anymore, this schedule has me all frazzled, I can't keep up!

Yes, I would like some cheese with that WHINE! LOL!! So, Kelli and I are doing the roadshow in Chula Vista and if you all remember I said that I would go to the gym EVERYDAY of the roadshow...weeeelllllll, I didn't make it yesterday, Vince had open house at school. BUT, I did make it today!! And I will make it tomorrow, REALLY!!

Today, I'm sharing a altered bucket. I may have shared it a loooong time ago but I came across it and I do like it. Tell me what you think:

I like these buckets because you can store food or treats in a fun and cute way, no more hidden bags!!

FINALLY...pictures!

Today was a VERY productive day. Went to a day crop with my good buddies, Debbie and Eloisa and finished 2 cards!!! Then came home to feed the kids and pack them up for an overnighter at Grandpas...then off to a night crop with Debbie where I finished 8 cards...yes I said 8!!!! I'm so proud of myself, I've never finished that much at a crop!
I haven't yet added them to my website but if your interested, email me.

There are 10 cards total but these are the main few. I actually had fun making these, I really liked the colors.

Well...off to bed, I have a whole day to myself tomorrow...MORE creations to come!

I had to do a double post today. Ever had one of those days that every minute you wish you could just go climb under the blankets and hide??? Well, today was one of those days!
It all started when I opened my eyes and had the WORST headache ever! Then I forgot my cell phone at home so had to drive back home from Costco to get it...one of the bundle boxes was completely ruined from being moved, we had to sit and wait quite awhile to get an extension cord so we could set up and the store was opening...I was exhasuted from the lack of sleep the night, no sale, no sales...YEAH SALES...then the kicker, someone STOLE 3 demo cartridges from our display!!!!! I was shocked and ANGRY when I realized they were missing, Kelli and I each took turns walking the aisles hoping some one just set them down somewhere but nothing...we asked the staff for a sales print out, hoping someone paid for them...nothing!
At that point I knew I just needed to go straight home and get under the blankets...BUT instead we went to Michael's for a little retail therapy. Did it help? NO, didn't have much to choose from so I walked out of there spending only $13.
Got home and chatted with the kids a little and my sweet Ary gave me a foot rub, great ending to a crappy day!
I'll never understand why people think they have the right to just help themselves to whatever they want...all I have to say is KARMA!

Good Morning!!! So yesterday I finally had the energy (for about 5 mins) to finish these mini "Thank You" cards...I bundled them in a pack of 10 and tied them together with white tulle.

I used:
Bazzill cardstock
Cosmo Cricket patterned paper
Wild Card Cricut Cartridge for "Thank You" and patterened paper
Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge for flower and flower center

I love making these mini cards, they go great on a gift, flowers or a little note to slip into someones bag.

So yesterday was a SLOW day at Costco and low sales but I think that had to do with the fact that they set up another roadshow right next to us and it actually completely blocked us. The staff at Costco are so sweet and accomodating, they plan to move us so we have more exposure.
To end a long day...Kelli and I went to the gym AGAIN for the third day in a row!! We both secretly wanted the other to bail but neither one of us wanted to be "that guy"! SO we had a great workout despite the fact that we were falling asleep, LOL!

WOW! I was more yesterday then the day before...what's up with that?!?!? We had a great day on the roadshow but I was in a fog the whole day. I don't have a project to show you today, sorry!!! But I will tell you that even though I was exhausted I made it to the gym last night and Kelli turned into Jillian Michaels!!! I was home for an hour and I could already feel the pain in my poor weak muscles! Maybe I'll start an exercise/weight loss scrapbook...hmmmm, I'll have to give that some serious thought, might be fun to track the journey.
I'm working on a "SPOILED" mini accordian album and I'm just about done with it so I can't wait to post it tomorrow for you to see!

So yesterday Kelli and I started our round of the Cricut roadshow at the Costco in La Mesa (so nice to be close to home!). We had a very successful day as far as sales go but I just couldn't get it together, I was a bit grumpy and VERY tired! So after work we went to the gym and Kelli kicked my butt, BUT I made it thru and survived. Hopefully working out will make today better as far as my energy level goes.

As far as my creativity, well that wasn't going well either. I managed to make this card while at work for a sample and maybe a gift for someone who buys the Cricut bundle as a Mother's Day gift.

Second, I came across this great video on making bows with ribbon. I know, sounds pretty basic BUT just watch it and you will like it, I like how she ties the buttons together then ties them to the ribbon!

Gees, why is it so hard to blog?? I get so inspired by true bloggers then I fizzle out when I get to mine!
So for a quick update, I'm working for Provocraft demonstrating the Cricut Expression at various Costcos in San Diego. It's so fun to work with my team mate Kelli, who happens to be a photographer...check out her work Kelli Lynn Photography aside from meeting a new BFF and gym buddy what a great job, playing with the Crcut all day and telling people how great it is...can it get any easier???? If you've been waiting on buying the Cricut now is the time to get it, great bundle price exclusive to Costco, we also have bundle prices on cartridges and Gypsy's.

I love FABULOUS ideas!!

So while at CHA I met this great woman, Megan Nicolay, author & crafter. While our chat was brief she left quite an impression. She has these 2 books which I'd never seen because I'm not a sew-er, fabric crafter BUT after talking to her and seeing a couple of samples I KNEW this was a MUST HAVE for my teenage daughter, well both of us really. The books are called Generation T-Beyond Fashion & Generation T-108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt, here's a link to her site Generation T
I learned that not all the projects require a sewing machine and you don't have to know how to sew to take advantage of these great books, and what an awesome way to reuse old t-shirts. It also gives my daughter and her friends hours of something to do...you know teenagers are always BORED unless they're at the mall! Another plus, my daughter and I can learn to sew, if I choose to buy a sewing machine. Anyhow, I totally reccomend these books to all ages, it's fun and a great way to do our part in recycling!

I know I'm a week late talking about this since all the other blogs and websites are all aflutter giving sneek peeks of the new product displayed at CHA, which was amazing!
But since I don't do the buying...I leave that to Eva, my good friend at Scrappin' Attack, since that's where I do most of my shopping. I was LOVING all the product samples, ideas, ideas, ideas!!! Boy, was my head spinning by the time I left there, I just wanted to come home and get to work, but after my drive home I was a little tired.

Here's something that caught my attention:

GCD Studios Chip Art-You use the metal stamps and mallet to "stamp" the images into chipboard and once you glaze it or finish it with your favorite product, the chipboard has a leathery look. There are several alphabet sets and tons of other shapes and designs! Here's a sample
Kind of neat, right? So, they stamped "Seek Beauty" and the flowers and stems into chipboard then nailed the chipboard onto a wood piece, I think it looks great. The rep told me you have to mist the chipboard with regular water so it will be soft when you stamp it. Seems simple enough, I think this is the kind of technique that takes practice so you can get the right amount of pressure but I look forward to trying it!

Knock, Knock, Knock.....

Anyone here...here...here? Boy I have a hard time keeping up with the various ways of communication, blog, website, facebook, email, text, twitter and my website. So I've devised a plan or schedule to keep me going! I've been waking up about an hour and a half before the kids and "resolve" to take 30 minutes of that time to update all my accounts DAILY!
My New Year resolution was to implement positive changes in my life, adding something new every week or so and I've doen well with that SO next addition is going to be my communication!
So you can look forward to something new everyday, may not be a project but it will be something!
I'm very pleased with the way the year has started and I'm looking forward to new and exciting things to come!

All washed out....

Literally. So Deb and I have been working hard and soooo looking forward to selling our crafts at Bates Nut Farm. This is a huge show and we've been counting down the days...I've been kinda sorta ignoring my household chores (sorry guys) BUT the kids have rallied and helped out ALOT! THANK YOU MY AWESOME BABIES! So, your probably wondering why I'm telling you all of this, those of you local gals may know why. For the first time in 166 days IT RAINED CATS AND DOGS....AND HAILED! So the show was cancelled for today and we have to go back tomorrow and see what Mother Nature has in store for us!

This is just a glimpse of what we arrived to at 7:30 this morning....

Hard to see the hail but the mini lake is visible! But we made the best of a bad day...my mom and her friend met us and we had a day of shopping and lunch, we also visited Canterbury Gardens which is an AMAZING little store that anyone who LOVES Christmas has to visit. It is truly magical!

Just a little recap on our shop hop today:

Stamping Details in Poway, a hidden gem with a great variety of scrapbook and rubber stamp supplies. They also offer tons of FABULOUS classes and the owner DiAnn is very sweet!

Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, this is really a scrapbook superstore! If your looking for it, they have it! Twilight fans read on....I found out from one of their friendly employees that Twilight scrapbook product is on the way!!!!!!!!! She couldn't give me a date but she did say it's in production so be on the lookout!

Michael's...I'm sure you have one in your neighborhood...no explanation or link necessary

Big Lot's...same as above BUT don't count them out when looking for AMAZING deals on scrapbook stuff!

And of course a lovely tour of Canterbury Gardens in Escondido and lunch at El Comal in Poway.

So with all of this and the fact that I have to pick Debbie up at 6:30am to head back up to Bates Nut Farm...I'm going to sleep!!!!

sorry, I gave you a sneak peek awhile ago and haven't had a chance to post it til now! So here is the Merry Christmas Album...it's for sale on my Etsy shop if your interested.

So on a BRIGHT side...I just received an order for 50...yes I said 50 mini albums!!! They are going to be centerpieces for a convention being attended by 400-500 people. Talk about AMAZING, I don't say this often but I feel blessed by this experience, it has put a few things into perspective for me. I also received 2 other pretty big orders...it's all coming together for me and I'm just to excited for words!!!
Thank you to EVERYONE, who reads my blog or orders my product! It really helps keep me motivated. So to end, hard work and consistancy will pay off, stay positive!!!

Hurry get'em while you can!!!

So I went over to my friend Dinah's house to buy a new CM personal trimmer because apparently mine grew legs and ran away!
So, ANYWAY, she told me that CM was discontinuing their 12" decorative trimmer and blades. BIG mistake in my opinion! So I had to get a few blades to get me thru and I think I may have to get a couple more "just in case". **wink wink**

OK how many times have you been running in circles doing a TON of "things" but not really getting anything done and wondering why you just don't stop??? I've had one of those weeks, which is REALLY bad considering I have a TON of craft fairs coming up and need more product to sell. Now, I have this monster headache that just won't go away! So I decided to come visit my blog and become even more distracted! LOL!!!!

I love chipboard albums!

OK so I went to a LSS to buy 2 sheets of paper and as Iwalked out they had all these cute chipboard mini albums hanging there...just waiting for me to walk by!!!!

So I bought this cute little apple and a heart and a flower and ....and....and!!!! It's just like when you go to the grocery store with your kids and all the candy is at the check out counter, you sit and argue with them...no candy, but mom, i said no candy, but mom....so on and so forth. Well can you believe that I actually had that argument with myself as I stood there telling myself oh but I can make this with this one and that with that one...gees!!!!

So in order to make myself feel better I came home and made this little book...sadly I don't love it but I guess that's what I get for giving in to temptation, I was punished by the scrapbooking gods!!!!

So I finally bought my website WITH a shopping cart! I'm still building it and I'm having fun adding this and that on there, BUT it's there and I can't wait until it's fully up and running.

Sorry readers...I'm not abandoning you all I'm just on vacation and I can't always log on. I'm in Chicago until Monday night. We're visiting family and celebrating my hubby and father in law's birthday, their birthdays are on the same day!
So I don't have project photos to share but hopefully I can uploads some photos of the Windy City and believe me it has been windy! We had a tornado watch on Sunday night...ummmmm, I've never been in that situation and was ready to fly home right then...you can't put a Cali girl int hat situation and not expect her to panic!
Obviously we made it thru but it's still freezing, 50 degrees is freezing to me!

I've made it it the streets!!!!

Literally! I was hired to alter a Lunch Special Board for my husbands work, Whiskey Girl. Which is a prime location to display my work. This board goes outside everyday from 11am-3pm and his restaurant/bar is located in the heart of Downtown's Gaslamp District, right on the corner of 5th Ave & Market St!

So I forgot to take a picture of the before but here's the after:

I added the "daily specials" banner, the Whiskey Girl sign and the red flourishes along the sides.

I'm hoping other businesses will see it and ask questions and promote my "business".

Other then that I've been working on some mini cards/gift cards, you know the ones you add to gifts or flowers. I'll post those when they're finished.

I'm off to finish cleaning the house for my husbands outrageous Chicago Bears party today...GO GREEN BAY!!!! LOL!!!!

So as you may know I have an Etsy shop where I sell my hand made "stuff" well today as I was checking in on my store I saw that I was included in a treasury...check it out. It's such a big deal because there are soooooo many talented artists out there and to be included is awesome!!!

Anyhoo, aside from that I have a GREAT week...one might say I'm very blessed! I had lunch on Monday with 2 of my awesomest friends which I haven't seen in FOREVER, we had a great time! Then Wednesday was my BFF's birthday and we went to lunch, haven't seen her in quite a while so it was great to catch up with her and her beautiful daughter and see her cute belly with baby #2 in it!!!!! And to wrap it up, I had coffee with my ex Creative Memories upline which I haven't seen in years!!! We sat and talked for 3 hours. Then today I scheduled a lunch for Monday with a great friend I haven't seen in like a year!
So the lesson here, appreciate EVERYONE in your life and if you can't see them often, e-mail, text, facebook SOMETHING just don't let time get away from you!
I miss you all and thank you for making my week the best week in a long time!!!!

Well at least in my house it is...I always start the holiday crafts early since I do a few craft fairs in Oct and Nov.

So here is a plastic terracota planter I used Daisy D paper on with some random flowers and ribbon...I think I used a MM brad???

Anyhoo, I think this is cute to fill with baked goods, flowers or a plant...maybe a bottle of wine or something and give it as a hostess gift when your invited to dinner or holiday party. I don't know these ideas just keep popping up! LOL!!!

So tell me whatcha think...good idea or idea gone CrAzY???? Brutal honesty glady accepted!

Well I gotta go work on birthday invites...130 of them...I've been working on them all weekend...I'm soooooo going crazy since lovey Kinko's didn't cut the pictures the way I asked i get to go thru and individually cut 3 layers of CS for each invite! But when you get a good deal what can you expect????

Pirate Princess journal

Here's a notebook journal I did for my daughter. She needed a notebook/journal for a reading class so I altered a composition book and she LOVED it!

I used Rusty Pickle Pirate Princess and a little Stardust Stickles and that's all folks. I had to keep it flat, no fun embellies since it will be going in and out of her backpack.

I've made them for several different themes, one I made for a friend who is pregnant. I put dividers, one for each trimester and put in a few theme pages, like...names we are considering...due date guessing game page...etc. I also made one for a friend for her to use as a Christmas List/Note keeper for wish lists, sizes and what not for family and friends.

Hello ladies,

This post isn't scrapping or stamping related BUT it will be soon!

So my cousin went and bought himself a new dirt bike that Vincent, my youngest was terrified of...it's stored in my garage and V didn't even like to hear turned on. Until today...he finally decided to go for a ride and LOVED IT!!! He didn't want to get off and he ran in the house (once we got him off) and told Vic (hubby) that he wants his own bike. And he keeps reminding my cousin that he said he'd take him on another ride later on...conversations are like this:

Me: Vince are you hungry?

V: No, I"m ok....can I go on the bike now?

Me: No not yet

V: Why? It's later.

5 Minutes later.......

Me: Vince take your shoes off the couch

V: I can't take them off because I'm going on the bike again, remember? Is it time yet?

Me: No it' snot time yet and you can just put them on again

V: No because if I take to long Robert (cousin) might not wait for me. I have to be ready...is it time now?

Me: ROBERT...TAKE HIM ON THE BIKE NOW!!!!!!!!!

LOL...

Sweet Dreamers blog & The Pink Elephant Challenges

Ok so I combined 2 challenges into 1 card. For the Sweet Dreamers blog group we had to make a card using a grid and as you can see the patterned paper in the background is a grid AND for the Pink Elephant Challenge it was a color challenge:Brown, Turquoise and Neutral. I tried to arrange the cluster of turquoise flowers on a "viney" design on the paper...I hope you can see that.

So I'm so happy I FINALLY completed a blogger grop challenge, I'vemissed 2 already and I REALLY love The Pink Elephant Challenges, you should go over and check them out...FUN!!!

Well quick post for today...gotta go play some Rock Band and show these kids how to REALLY rock out!!!!

Just saw No Doubt in concert!

I'm so excited, my husband calls me last night at 8:30 and tells me he has 2 tickets to the No Doubt concert and asks if I want them...DUH, YEAH!!!!!!!!!! And Panic at the Disco was there too! So me and my bestest cousin went and bonus...some good friends of my hubby and I were there sitting right next to us! Great concert with great friends AWESOME night!!!! I LOVE Gwen Stefani, she's beautiful, talented and super generous and AMAZING with fans...LOVE HER!!!!

So that is my fab story for tonight...LOVE my hubby for his great connections!

Now on to business at hand...scrapping! Here is a switch plate cover I made last night. I saw these cute little things at Michaels for $1. They are plain wood so I painted the edges with a pearly pink paint and used this scrap paper I found, Autumn Leaves Flourishes stamps and stazon ink and I added a little Stardust stickles for a little touch of bling!

Hi there!

So here is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite old Basic Grey paper...Phoebe! I don't remember where I got the "holder" from but it worked perfect as a little purse/stationary holder. I plan to add a small magnet to help keep the lid closed. I made 12 notecards to put inside and thought I'd sell it for $10. The "HELLO" stamp is one of the $1 stamp sets from Michael's and the ivory cs is from a local paper store. I used a little dot of Stardust stickles to add a slight bling to the cards. Hope you like!

So on the home front, I'm in the middle of making a HUGE decision...go back to work full time with a promotion and raise or stay part time and have more play time! I was approached with the option today and now have stress! I've tried listing pro & cons and it's pretty equal...decisions, decisions!!!!!

OK so I didn't finish my Blog Group challenge...sorry girls! But I did finish up this project, well it was pretty much done but I keep trying to decide if I want to add a title to the blank piece on top or leave it blank and let whoever buys it personalize it. So on another note I've been struggling with getting my creativity back on track since I was sick last week...I think having to work 10 hours on Saturday really threw me off and this weekend doesn't look any better! It's time to school shop since the kids start in 2 weeks....yes I said 2 WEEKS!!!! So there goes this weekend but I'm looking on the bright side...they go back to school and that gives me 2-3 hours of play time before they get home WOO HOO!!!!

I FINALLY finished....

I've been working on these 5x5 mini books since October! Now that I'm done it was so easy because they're all the same layout, the paper and embellies vary a little from book to book. So now I need your help. I'm going to sell them but not sure of a fair price...any suggestions? Details, 5x5, 5 pages=10 layouts total, embellies on most pages if not then stickers and mats on all.

I was thinking $10, hubby says $15...majority rules, let me know what you think.

So now I'm going to start working on a Chipboard Circle album I started at least a year ago! Wish me luck! hope fully this FLYlady lady stuff will get me so organized I can clean my house and "play" after work and still get dinner done...who am I kidding, we can eat out! LOL!!!!!

I LOVE crops!!!

So I just got home from the first crop I've attended since November and I forgot how much I loved them. But I remembered why I prefer to work at home...I got absolutely NOTHING done! Oh wait, I did manage to adhere an embellishment to a mini book I was making, LOL! I was excited to catch up with my BESTEST cropping pal, Debbie. She's so awesome and we have so much in common, we love to craft, eat and spend money, but she beats me by far in the spending category, LOL, love ya Deb!

Anyhoo, on the home front, I've decided to start the FLYlady program so I've been reading up and getting my Control Journal together. I have to say the more I read and work on my binder the more I look forward to starting and getting my house under control! Do any of you FLY? If so I'd love to hear any tips you may have.

So here's another project I managed to finish during my crop area clean up!

This box is about 6" x 4" or 5" and it's covered in Basic Grey paper and painted with red and black acrylic paint. Flower stamp by Fancy Pants.

Ok, I've gone thru a mini retirement and spent time re organizing my life and I'm ready to dip my toes in the pool of scrapping again!!!! I'm still working part time so I do plan on casually getting together with my gal pals and spending some time on one of my fav scrapping/stamping sites...Splitcoast Stampers. Come by and visit the girls are SOOOOO talented! Anyhoo, I look forward to re-connecting with all my friends, cyber and "real", LOL! With that said, new habit #1,000,000 for the year is to maintain my blog and post OFTEN!
So to start things off here's a picture of a project I finally finished

It's a mini book made of small coin envelopes. Some envelopes are open to allow pics and journaling to go inside the envelope and some are closed so the pics and journaling can just go on the envelope itself.

Well ladies, I'm off to play XBox with the kiddos...I have some butts to kick!

OK, so I'm taking a quick break to stop by and say HI!!! I've been up to my neck in mini mailboxes and paint tins...and working part time for Children's hosp. Yes, I went back to work and let me tell you, it's HARD!!! LOL, I'm having trouble working that "work stuff" into my schedule, it's really interfering with my cropping and phone chatting time! LOL!!
Anyhoo, I have no pics cuz the mini mailboxes I did manage to finish I delivered to their destination, a silent auction for a school fundraiser for a friend of a friend, whatta mouth full!

I'm such a DORK!!!

OK,so I'm crawling the walls waiting for this weekend...not only are hubby and I getting away to Vegas BUT I'm going to see THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!!!!! I told you I was a dork! I'm sooooo excited I can't even control myself, I'm already packed! For those of you who know me, I usually pack the night before or that morning! So in order to calm my nerves I've tried working on a few projects and while it does distract me, I keep having these little outburst of excitement and energy and of course my kids are ready to disown me! But who cares, I'M GOING TO SEE NKOTB!!!!
Enough of that, here's a recipe box I made with Angel Heart by Dream Street papers I bought at Picture This in Chula Vista.

Christmas already???

So yes it seems like the holidays are among us! I just got used to the kids being back in school and I'm already working on Christams projects. My friend Debbie gave me her stash of mini mailboxes so I can make them for a school craft fair and this is what I came up with...Not to bad for not having touched my stuff for 5 months!
I'm going to sell them with stamped tissue paper to go inside with a gift card or something small.
So I will be working on those along with some paint cans which I will be turning into doggie treat holders. I was working on the buckets at a Scrap Pink crop I went to this weekend at Picture This
and wouldn't ya know as soon as I was done a very nice woman bought it! So 0 down 15 to go! LOL!!!! I'm not complaining just funny, I was so happy to get 1 done and now it's gone. I'll post a pic of those when I finish the next one.
On that note I should be working not blogging so...until tomorrow!

How to Prep for your Scrapbook Getaway

This past weekend, we hosted our summer Camp GetAway. Our friend, Lisa, has previously instructed the fun arts & crafts project at our camp, and the campers LOVED their wonderful picture frame craft.
As luck would have it this time around, Lisa’s scrapbook retreat was the same weekend as our camp. I’m sure she learns as much as I do on these events, and I’m guest writing this to share insights for Lisa’s blog guests.
Occasionally, Camp GetAway hosts a “scrapbook camp,” we have one coming up October 24-26. From our experience, here are some insider tips for attendees of ANY getaway for scrapbooking:

1. Read all your attendance materials when you receive them, don’t wait until a few days before the getaway. Helpful info pops out at you. For example, for a camp is in the mountains, a minor but very important detail is bringing a really strong flashlight, since its pitch dark after sundown. For a camp in the desert, a bathing suit for the hot tub is something we don’t usually think of.
2. Pack an additional small table lamp. Yes, the lighting in your crop room may be perfect. Or no, you may find yourself wishing for a little more light directed specifically on your spot. Your own lamp, put it where you want.
3. Pack and bring… everything. Heck, why not? You can always leave a bunch of stuff in your car, but what if you finish your first AND second projects and really wish you had the photos for your third? Fill ‘er up.
4. No need to pre-purchase “just in case” supplies. Just bring your checkbook. Supplies abound at these retreats and there is usually something you see you’d like to use in your project. Buy it on-site.
5. Don’t panic when you first arrive. The natural tendency is to feel overwhelmed with all you wish to accomplish and fearful that you won’t reach your goals. No worries, once you are at your retreat, take a deep breath, wrap your head around what you want to do FIRST and start. SECOND comes right after that. You will be amazed at how much you accomplish.
6. Treat yourself to massages or wine tasting or hikes while there. A retreat is just that – getting away from your daily routine. Added activities will greatly enhance your experience and return you to your family refreshed, but also having accomplished your big goal, massive cropping.
7. If you don’t have a cropping buddy to attend with you, come solo. Women are women, and within a short amount of time, fellow croppers are your girlfriends. No loneliness happens at these retreats.

New beginnings...

Well, some of you are familiar with Picture This Scrapbooking in Chula Vista. The store was owned by a wonderful women named Patty. Notice I said OWNED, yes Patty decided to sell the store to one of her employees, Kim and Kim's sister Emily. It was sad to say good bye to Patty but Oh So Nice to say hello to Kim and Emily. The store is really turning around and has some great products trickling in from CHA. The girls are very eager to get things going and are very excited to meet all of you. I was there Friday night for a crop and Emily was having a blast with all my rowdy cropping buddies...who by the way loved the new store and want to go back and crop again! I'll admit after being spoiled by my own table at Yellow Bird it was hard to have to share, especially with Debbie...she's kind of a table hog! BUT I LOVED that you pay $10 to crop and you get it right back that night in store credit...ready to use right then and there AND you still get your punch points!! They practically pay you to come crop, IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THEN THAT!!!!!! So, go over and check out the new and improved Picture This Scrapbooking, you will not be disappointed!

Can you believe I was so inspired by my good friend Jessica of Scrappin Escapes that I finally decided 1 day that I was going to go thru with my retreat plans. I have often wanted to organize a retreat but never had the guts to actually go thru with it. Jessica seem to have so much fun with it and talked about it with so much enthusiasm I just had to finally take the plunge! I made some calls to Zosa Gardens, a B&B I spoke to about 3 years ago when I first thought of doing this and Isabel is so helpful and really worked hard to make this doable. I took a deep breathe and after what seemed like a million calls to Isabel I made THE call...I booked the date and FREAKED OUT!!! I called Jessica and told her about my decision and she was sooooo supportive, THANKS Jessica!!!!!!
The thought of finding and begging 28 people to sign up was TERRIFYING!! But here we are less then 2 months after that fateful day...5 months away from the actual event and I ONLY have 8 spots left!!!!! I can't believe it, I did it!!!!
I have TONS of support from my hubby, Debbie, Donnie, anyone with an ear and all the wonderful scrappers who have signed up! THANK YOU!!!!!
Now the real work begins...teacher contracts and scrapper packets!

Ok, so LOTS of awesome things going on for the retreat!

So now on to fun stuff, I made this artboard with a Close to my Heart Artboard (click on the Debbers link on the right to order one).
I also used AdornIt Carolee's Creations paper and cardstock stickers from the Timeless collection, Work In Progress rub on by Daisy Ds, Chipboard Heart by Fancy Pants, acrylic squares, ribbon, binder rings and MM black acrylic paint.
I used Fiskars Craft Drill the make the holes at the bottom of the board and it worked like a charm! I used the Crop A Dile to make the holes in the acrylic

I removed the "clip" from the clipboard and replaced it with ribbon. I LOVE these Artboards, they have so many uses, best of all they only cost like $10!!!!

OMG, Talk about Fantasy Land!!!

OK, so I participated in a WONDERFUL event yesterday! Scrapbook Royalty's Fantasyland Crop and boy do these fabulous group of amazing women know how to host a crop! EVERYTHING in the Boys & Girls club had the SBR stamp on it, signature purple color was everywhere...even the bathroom was beautifully decorated, I'm so bummed I didn't think of taking a picture of it until I took everything down!
So throughout the day we were spoiled with food, sweets, drinks and AWESOME fairy fly-bys, little gifts from sponsors given throughout the day by precious little fairys and some FABULOUS classes, I was one of 6 teachers and I must say I felt WAYYYYY out of my league in this group of amazingly talented women. The totally awesome teachers were Michelle Hill of Polka Dot Whimsy, Stephanie Ackerman of Home Grown Hospitality, Jennifer Priest of Scrapbook Royalty, Erin Payne of Pink Pineapple, Julie Muehl of Scrapbook Royalty and of course, my little old self.
Stephanie is known for her freestyle writing and she was generous enough to make a name tag for EVERYONE at the crop, THANKS STEPHANIE!!! Oh yea, be on the look out for Stephanie's new magazine Home & Heart, I was privileged enough to get a sneak peek of the mag before it hits the shelves and I must say it will definitley be a Must Have for me, there are ideas for papercrafting, recipes, home decor, it truly has everything, even little stories and tidbits from Stephanie which makes the magazine so unique.
I was laughing at myself all day because I'm such a dork...I was star struck, until recently my scrapbook world consisted of working or teaching at lss and shopping around but lately I've had some great opportunites to meet some people I really admire. I was sitting there packing kits, yes last minute, I know, and who sat at the end of my table???? Donna Salazar and Stephanie Ackerman! I felt like the nerdy freshman on the first day of school! When I finally went over to chat with Donna I wanted to laugh so bad, I was nervous! I told you I was a dork! Then I had the honor to sit and chat with Diva Danielle and at the very end of the night I had a chance to meet and chat with Michelle Hill!!! Ok, for me this was a Fantasy! I really respect these women for all their hard work and dedication to the crafting world and I'm very honored to have had the chance to chat with them.
So before these girls get a restraining order on me, I'll change the subject...Silent Auction, holy cow! There TONS of things to bid on all day long, great stuff and "lots" of things brought by attendees, you could bid on whole lots/boxes of scrapping stuff and it all went for rock bottom prices! So, obviously I could go on for days about this event but I'll end by saying, you have to attend a SBR event, along with all the great things I've mentioned your also supporting a great cause. SBR is run and supported by volunteers and work VERY hard to raise money for various charities, God Bless these extraordinary ladies!

I LOVE this picture!

I found this picture in a stack under my desk. So I decided to scrap it at Scrappin Escapes retreat this weekend. I just love how cute my kiddos look!
So I used Making Memories paper and sprayed it with Latte Glitter Mist, Bohemia chipboard "2", Heidi Swapp Ghost letters, KI Memories rub-ons, mesh flowers, Making Memories embellishment (black heart), ribbon purchased from Kits 2 Remember.

I did a few more but that picture is my favorite. I had lots of fun cropping and teaching this weekend with my buddy Debbie, she's always there to help at all my events, I might have to put her on payroll! She's helping me this weekend at Scrapbook Royalty and next month at Camp Get Away and of course at my retreat in September, and in countless other events I'll get myself into throughout time. When you find "the" friend, hold her or him with all your heart and appreciate them everyday! So here's to you Deb, my friend, my honorary sister (even if the real ones don't want me), my trusty helper and my croppin' buddy!

I'm a FISKATEER and a Certified Fiskars Demonstrator

WOO HOO! I became a certified Fiskars demonstrator last night at the WONDERFUL Pink Pineapple in Vista, CA. I trained with Elena and Melanie from Scrapbook Royalty and Cheryl Waters, Fiskateer #02! Whatta treat, she is an awesome person, so full of information and truly LOVES Fiskars, her excitement and passion for the tools is inspirational! I came away wanting to run to the store to buy a few new tools BUT I have to stick to a budget with all my upcoming events.
Anyhow, I will be demo'ing Fiskars at upcoming classes, some you just can't live without, like the craft drill that Elena was so nice to share with me...THANK YOU!! I'm REALLY using it on my class for March 8th! Because of the excitement and Fiskars community, I also became a Fiskateer, #3728!!! I've already been on the message board and LOVE it!
So, that is my excitement, NEVER underestimate your Fiskars tools, they have come a long way and the upgrades are FABULOUS!

Well I'm sicker then a dog BUT I went to the Expo in Costa Mesa and I LOVED it! I went with 3 great friends and my mom and we all had a blast, a GREAT day trip! I was so sick, I dragged for half the day and didn't buy much, I got my second wind after taking some Advil and started the spending!! I have to say there was alot to buy but the stand that really stood out was

Shelby is the owner and I had time to say Hello and introduce myself but the booth was CROWDED and the line was long so no time to chat, but she was very sweet.

LOVE my new purse!!

This is MY purse! Let me tell you the story...my mom and I went to a HUGE sale at Mervyn's the other day. I was looking for a new purse and couldn't find "the one" until I saw this baby YELLING my name. Well of course it wasn't on sale so I said NO! My mom said "just get it, I'll buy it for you" and I said "Thanks but No Thanks" and we left. I knew she was going back that night wth the kids and I just knew she'd get it for me (she always does) and I couldn't wait to get home from my meeting...I walk in the door and look around...no purse...I go in my room...no purse, SHE DIDN't BUY IT FOR ME?!?!?!?! Sadly, I sit at my desk and go to work. I decide, I'm going back tomorrow and I'm going to buy it! My mom went back to the store with me the next day and as I walk in the store there's the purse, only 1 left...as I go to get it some teeny bopper chick grabs the purse and says "Mom look, I love it it, I'm gonna get it". Well at this point my heart is pounding out of my chest, the spoiled brat is coming out and I'm ready to fight over this purse. My mom and kids are looking at me, waiting to see what I'm going to do, I'm obviously VERY ANGRY! So after what seemed like FOREVER, she sets it down and looks at another purse...as quick as a gazelle, I grab the purse and walk away VERY quickly before she noticed. VICTORY is MINE!!!!! She obviously doesn't know the the golden rule of shopping...NEVER SET IT DOWN!!!! So in the famous words of Javier...She's a NOOB! And now without further ado, here's the purse...

Now for those of you who have gone scrapbook shopping with me know this is SOOOOO the designs I'm attracted to, so naturally I had to have it! THANKS mom for buying it for me!

Note of the day...ALWAYS buy it when you see it, never wait until tomorrow!

Update on Scrappin' Escapes...the event is SOLD OUT!! Holy cow, I can't believe it! I'm so proud of Jessica for all her hard work and look at the pay off, a FULL HOUSE! If you missed out on registering for the crop, no worries, you can still come and shop and take classes. The event is open to the public and all are welcome!! I hope you can make it!
There is still time to register for Scrapbook Royalty's crop on March 8th, this crop is going to benefit the Hemotolgy/Oncology dept at Children's hospital. There's TONS of prizes to be won and LOTS of fun to be had!

So, today I am cleaning out my garage and start turning into a crop area. After I take Vincent to the school carnival of course! He's been jumpin out of his skin, is time? Is it time now? I swear he acts like it's some kind of scrapbook sale! Gees!!!! Speaking of sales, I hear Pink Pineapple is having a 25% off EVERYTHING sale today, WOO HOO!!!! For those of you that don't know about PP, it's located in Vista, CA and it's cute in design, they have a large variety of paper, worth stopping and checking out.
Well, back to the garage. I plan to clean it out, lay some carpet, ask Vic for MORE lighting (keep your fingers crossed) and add shelving. I'm not sure I'll put my stuff out there but I'm thinking about it. That might have to be my bargaining chip with Vic, add lighting and I'll move my product to the garage...not my desk JUST the product. I hope to offer crops for groups of at least 8 for now, we will have to share a 6' table but at least were among friends and cozy.
So, that's my plan for the weekend, CLEAN the garage! What is your weekend plan? Family function, layout, deep cleaning, layout????

Never a dull moment!!!!

OK, so remember the full time job I talked about? Well turns out this will be a short lived job! let's just say WEIRD!!!!!! I don't want to be mean or judgemental but the office is strange! And of course I was a moth drawn to a flame, always going straight for the craziness, LOL! So, I'm off to other ventures in my life, I told Vic, this is just proof I wasn't meant to work full time! I will be going in tomorrow to give my notice and bow out gracefully, cuz I'm just so sweet, bwahahaha!

Anyhoo, I'm just happy as a clam to get back to my REAL work...I haven't created anything in weeks and I'm jonsing!(?sp)

Oh, I started my etsy shop, I'm not sure how it will go but what have I got to loose? It's so cheap and easy I had to try it out. Come by and tell me what you think Scrapbookdistrict2.etsy.com I know, I'm not very creative when it comes to names but I like it, it's easy to remember and these days thats EXACTLY what I need "easy to remember".

I'll give you a sneak peek at one of the items for sell.

I used a Close to my Heart Art Board (if you want one click on Debbers on the right under"My Super Fab Consultants), I think it's Three Bugs in a Rug paper (sorry!), Black Bazzil shaped cardstock, Fancy Pants Biggest Board "adore you" and hearts, acrylic paint, Lil Davis glitter glaze (on the words and hearts) and white ribbon with hearts ($.98 @ WM).

So, watta ya think? Worthy of public sale? We'll soon find out.

Here are some shots of a class I'm teaching at Yellow Bird on Saturday morning Feb 2nd at 10am for only $15!!!! Call YB @ 619-579-7422 TODAY, make sure you get a seat.
Anyhow, I love these mailboxes and THANK YOU Malaina for running around town to every Target to get enough for the class!!! I used all Cloud 9 paper, sticker sentiments and Rain Drop Hearts with a Imaginisce flower and some ribbon, TahDah! Something else I discovered is I LOVE the die cut machine at the store! I've always ignored it cuz I'm such a QK snob but I used it to cut the word LOVE and to my surprise, I cut chipboard and paper at the same time! I didn't have to cut twice, paint my cb or even stamp it...I was sooooo excited. So I'm a little behind some of you that already figured this out but I know somewhere out there someone is totally excited to learn this and they are running to their LSS tomorrow to try it out! Don't underestimate this huge machine, it's so easy to use and most stores allow you to use it free if you buy paper there, I know Yellow Bird does.
So, my quick tip of the day, use the die cut machine at your LSS and add some spunk to your pages!

Gees, I never know blogging would be so hard! I just can't keep up BUT with tons of events coming up and so much info to share I will definitely try alot harder!
So, I went back to work full time! I know, I can't believe it either, full time and I'm still hostessing crops at Yellow Bird and participating in several scrappin events (all the links are to the left under "Upcoming Events"). I hope you can join us for one or all these FABULOUS events! Especially, Scrapbook Royalty's Fantasyland Crop. This crop hits very close to home for me so when I heard the girls talk about it I knew I had to help out! This crop benefits the Hemotology/Oncology dept at Children's Hospital. For those of you who don't know, I had Leukemia as a child, so naturally I was hooked. Scrapbook Royalty is an organization that I really hope to work with for a long time, I really admire them! Check them out and you'll be as excited as I am to help or participate in their wonderful events.
Scrapfest! Oh my goodness what a turn out. Tracy REALLY knows how to run a crop! For those of you that were there I'm sure you were grateful you were a part of such an event. Now for the GREAT news...you have a few days to sign up for next year for only $55, that's right 2 FULL days of cropping for only $55 BUT you have to sign up by Jan 31st. I'm already on the vendor/teacher list. I wouldn't miss it for the world! I hope to see you there!
Scrappin Escapes retreat is the next event I'll be at, teaching and vending. Now if you missed Scrapfest, even if you didn't, you HAVE to go to this retreat. Jessica, the coordinator is SUPER FABULOUS and she has gone out of her way to accomodate everyone. You can come and shop, take a few classes or stay a crop for Saturday or Sunday or both. I love the holidays!

So I've been super busy the last few weeks. First, my gals pals got to together last night to have a little Open House for holiday shopping and it was a bit bigger then I expected which was great, I love having a house full of people! We chatted, ate and had a great time. It was a warm up for next weekend which is my Holiday Extravaganza!!!! I do this every year for my family, I provide all the supplies to do handmade ornaments and they go on my christmas tree or my "family tree" I love unpacking the ornaments from years before and just laughing! We do a putluck and I provide the desserts and drinks. This year I'm going to do a gingerbread house contest and the kids are a bit upset that I am going to choose the teams...I have to mix it up a bit otherwise the same groups are going to stay together. To top of the night, SANTA is coming!!!!! I can't wait to see the faces on the kids face when he gets here, I need to remember to charge my camera battery!!
So onto scrapbooking! Yellow Bird finally expanded. They, we moved into the suite next door, so that makes 3 suites...1 office, 2 crop and 3 retail! For those of you that have been to the store, the retail part is now ALL crop and the physical therapy office ext to us on the right is now all retail. The crop room will hold about 20ish 5' tables...everyone will get their own table, I beleive we will have the largest, coolest and most fun crop room around! Call in and get your seat for Fridays crop!
I'm also working on getting an Esty shop. Not sure I'm ready to take the plunge, I'm also a little intimidated by all th ebeautiful projects on there. Take a look, www.etsy.com

I've been thinking and thinking for weeks...I need to start making my class samples for next semesters classes at Yellow Bird and I have no idea what to teach! So I'm taking suggestions...I know some of you may not ever be able to take the class but I would love to hear what you have to say.
I also want to know how many of you have submited work for publication and did you get accepted...how many times did you enter before you were published...any advice? Are you like me and feel you'll never get accepted?
I found this website many of you may know it ScrapSubmit.com On this website, they do the work for you all you have to do is upload your layouts and supply list and choose who to submit to. You even have the option to make a Scrap Resume. Don't feel like you have nothing to write, you have plenty to say. Years of experience scrapping, stamping and other hobbies, classes taught, workshops, have you help someone get started...your a teacher! So give it a shot and who knows, you can be the Ali Edwards!! Thanksgiving is behind us...

But I can't stop eating! I'm not eating leftovers because I was smart enough to leave it all at my Dad's BUT this is the season that I bake and bake and bake!!! And of course, I have to eat it. So, my goal is to find healthier baked goods and share them with family and friends. Any suggestions? Do you have a recipe to share, one that won't expand my waistline?
So, enough that, I've been so excited scrappin' and stampin' my days away (more then normal), Christmas music just puts me in such a GREAT mood, even the kids use it to clam the beast when I get upset! Smart little buggers!
So I want to share a website that is free and so fun! Pam at Yellow Bird turned me on to it.
Pandora.com So, here you canmake your own "radio station" and even chose to isten to it on your phone...I LOVE it! You can make multiple "stations", it's so fun!

From computer problems to starting a new job, I can't keep up! As many of you know, I am now working at Yellow Bird and loving every minute of it. I miss MY old store but you know what they say "As one door closes, another one opens" and this one opened REAL wide! I plan to learn lots more about the biz and see where it takes me. I will be teaching 1 or 2 classes next semester, this 5 classes stuff is for the birds...DoDo or DooDoo birds!!! Along with working and teaching there, I also host the Night Owls every week, alternating Fridays and Saturdays. Come on down and join a crop, we have TONS of fun and I LOVE giving away prizes!!
Another exciting part of the job is event planning and boy are there some events coming up! Black Friday, Winter Wonderland and of course our weekly make n take with Mari at Creative Cafe...can my job be any more fun!!?!?
As you know with the holidays comes family get togethers and christmas music and food! What is it about the holidays that makes family so much easier to deal with? Don't get me wrong I LOVE my family but I really feel the need to spend more time with them during this time of year. There's nothing like snuggling up together, hot cocoa, home made cookies and a good movie, like tonight for instance...Vic brought home some donuts and we all snuggled up and watched Shrek 3, Javi even sat and watched with us. It's nice to know when I say family time he actually joins the family, you know how difficult it can be to get a 16 year old to sit with family!

Believe me, scrapping was a huge factor in my decision but I have some big plans and I need to fund those plans, ya know?

Do you ever wake up with that Oh My Goodness!! I have soooooo much to do and then you get side tracked with the TV or computer, he he he!

I so want to get some pics up for you to check out and I HAVE to clean my house for Ary's birthday this weekend and I have a million projects and deadlines crashing down around me but instead of focusing on these things I'm here chatting with you!

This event is a crop weekend at Del Mar fairgrounds. I will have a booth selling pre-made items, scrapbook products and I'll also be teaching a class or 2.

This is a retreat in San Diego that I will be teaching a few classes at. I will also be doing make-n-takes and selling scrapbook products.

So first things, first...the bad news

After 10 wonderful years, Memories in the Making is closing it's doors. As many of you know I worked for those FABULOUS ladies for a little more then 3 years and I must say I'm very proud of the things they've accomplished. I would most definitely not be the scrapper, teacher, designer I've become without them...absolute truth!
So without anymore tears...THANK YOU for the lessons, gifts, laughs, awesome products and friendships over the years!

Now the goods news, they are having a HUGE sale for this week everything and I mean everything in the store is 30% off and 10/8-10/13 everything will be 50% off!! Don't wait I was there today and things were flying off the shelves!!!

What else can I say after that? But hurry over and say "see you soon" NOT good bye and pick up some great deals at the store so many of us got our start in this great hobby!

So as you may know my computer is dead and I'm TERRIFIED that my pics may be lost forever!!!! Im trying to stay calm and optimistic BUT my pictures...before you ask NO i didn't have them backed up and I WILL NEVER make that mistake again! BACK UP RIGHT NOW!!!!
Anyway, I've been up to my ears actually DROWNING in projects...but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm busy, I'm creating, I'm helping people...I LOVE scrapping...I LOVE helping and working with people...I LOVe cropping with my pals (except Debbie) just kidding, luv ya girl!!

Me, Vic and the kids are packing up and going on vacation. We're doing Laughlin, NV and San Francisco. I know HUGE difference...desert to coast but we have family to see in both areas and have time to kill. We'll be gone for 9 days so other then my computer pooping out on me, that's why i wont be checking in.

I have a few sites for you all to check out when I get back...a couple cropping retreats coming up in Jan and Feb of next year that are going to be AWESOME!!!!! I'll post all the details when I get back and put up the links too.

I gotta run for now, I'm still finishing up prep for my classes tomorrow and Tuesday!

Well my computer has totally died on me and it's has to be replaced, I'm on Javis laptop right now so I wont be posting pics anytime soon, SORRY!

Oh, Oh, Oh...before I forget, Basic Grey accepted my circle album for their gallery!!!!! I LOVE BG and the fact that they chose my album to be in their gallery is like SUPER exciting to me!!!!! OK, couple of things.

First, you still have a day to enter the drawing for a stamp set so comment, comment, comment!

Second, I will be out of town from tomorrow morning until Tuesday afternoon. My hubby's grandmother passed this morning so we're flying to Chicago...we have to be at the airport @ 5am!!!!!
*Side Note* I wasn't aware of this until the LAST MINUTE but some airlines offer a Bereavement Fare for families with terminally ill or deaths in the family and the cost is MUCH cheaper then regular last minute fare.
I found United Airlines was the best deal.

Lastly, I made the design team for Happy Scrappin Scrapbooking on line store! Woo Hoo! for me. I'll add them to my new "Cyber Hangouts" link which I will be adding when I get back from Chicago. For now you can click on their name above and get there.

Well I've been up to this and that this week...driving Vic to Temecula to get his "new" car!! I can't take advantage of the 50% off sale on Quickutz that PaperZone online is having cuz we have to save money BUT we can buy a car! Yes, I sound angry but that's the shopper talking, he totally deserves the car and he's worked really hard for it (harder then I do for QK!)

Anyhoo the kids and I are spending the day at the zoo tomorrow AFTER spending the morning with my friend and her grandkids, gotta keep them busy otherwise it's total summer meltdowns...really! I hear my camera clicking away already!

OK, so have you all seen or heard about and already purchased all the $1 clear stamp sets that Michael's has (sometimes)? Well, guess what?? I bought a few that I already had, suprise, suprise! SO, do you want a set???? FOR FREE?????

OK, so here's a little bonus layout. I was going thru my pictures today and came across this layout of my cousin's wedding. I just love how they both look so beautiful and gorgeous!

Here is what I was trying to accomplish...the left side is before the wedding "bride & groom" and the right side is after the wedding "husband & wife", with a life full of color. My head is full of these weird and quirky ideas that only I understand?!?!?!

My "Phoebe" album

OK, so here it is...my Close to my Heart circle album. I spent all weekend working on it. I used BG Phoebe, Prima & Bazzil flowers, Bazzil & Making Memories brads, AL Flourish, Doodle Journaling, Gypsy Style & Word Flourishes stamps, Cat Eye ink Chestnut Roan, Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen and various ribbons. I had so much fun doing this album, I LOVE Phoebe, it's so funky! It doesn't take that long to make either, yes it took me all weekend BUT I did work most of Saturday so I wasn't totally focusing on this project.
Anyhoo, if you'd like to order one of these AWESOME albums, they are only $4.95 and they have a chipboard front and back cover and 12 pages inside, the front chipboard page has several chipboard embellishments to use in the album...SO CUTE!!!!! I had a blast this weekend, missed my kiddos (they were @ grandpa's house). I scrapped the weekend away with some GREAT friends and met some new ones (Dotty and Jo, not with an "E") to name a couple of fun ones. Thanks for a totally fun time ladies!!!

Ok, so my friend Megan, Stampin' Up! demonstrator is hosting a On-Line Mystery Hostess workshop. What is this??? OK, I finally made some cards. I've really been attracted to Flair design paper,which is really weird because it's really not my style but I like the cards I made especially the Howdy Partner.

The cooking card was a lift from a customer at the store, Leslie...THANKS for the idea!!!! It's a gate fold and on the other side of the "Bee Sweet" tag is another one that says "Farmer's Pride". These rectangle images are on one sheet of 12x12 paper with a bunch of other designs, totally cute!

Today my baby turns 5!!!! Vincent is celebrating his 5th birthday and he's sooooo excited! He wants to go to Denny's for dinner...my mom got him hooked on french toast and he wants everyday, breakfast lunch and dinner!
I don't have much to report today, I've been busy trying to complete projects and so on. I PROMISE to have a project posted tomorrow...I'm determined to get something done for myself tomorrow, no work today...it's all about my baby!

OK, time dust off the weekend, clean the house (really fast) and get your creative juices flowing. At least that's what I keep telling myself. With 100 different directions to go today all I want to do is be creative BUT I've been negelecting the house because of "work".
So today will be quick and to the point. I wanted to share a couple of websites with you, if you haven't already found them.
1. Big Picture Scrapbooking this site is so awesome, you can take classes from the comfort of your own home. They offer everything from mini ialbums to photography lessons and everything in between. You get weekly messages, worksheets, colorful pictures and on line live chats with your teacher, who you can e-mail anytime. I just signed up for a class and I'm so excited, I'll show the finished project in 4 weeks, that's when the class is over.
2. Pub Calls Have you ever wanted to be published in a magazine or try out for a design team? Well this site has TONS of calls for cards, scrapbooking, digital scrapbooking from TONS of magazines, store, online stores even online magazines. They are very detailed in instructions and deadlines. Give it a try, you never know where you'll end up...maybe you'll be the next Elsie Flannigan!!!
Well that's about it for now. I'll try to work on some stuff so I can post pictures, I've been pretty busy with business so everything I work on is for someone else or for teaching and I can't post that on the site, so sad! I'll try and squeeze in some "me" time and post soon!

OK so I added a few little things here. Like the picture on my header, LOVE product!!!!! And I added a list of the stores I frequent most, my local hang outs. if you haven't already checked them out, GO NOW!!!! All the owners and workers are very helpful and are great to chat with.
I'm in a teachy mood since we just had the class kick off at Yellow Bird so I will tell you a little of what I know about the classes at a few of the stores.
1.Memories in the Making offers a cool little Sunday Jump Start, come in on Sundays from 11am-2pm and you'll get a FREE mini class on scrapbook basics, GREAT for beginner's.
They also offer a paperbag card class with the soon to be famous and published Brenda Hollister, one of the owners, she is awaiting her paperbag card idea book to be released by PineCone Press very soon!
Shelly always has a full house for her all occasion card classes and last but certainly NOT LEAST, Diane always makes FABULOUS layouts, this month little boy pages...sure to brighten up any scrapbook!
Don't forget to sign up for a Cropaholics Anonymous, every other Friday and 1 Saturday a month with yours truly!!! 5pm-11pm $10 or FREE with a $10 purchase.
2.Yellow Bird just released their AWESOME class list and hold on to your seats...you can choose from a summer themed paperbag book or 12x12 layouts with Marina, a summer CD case frame or mish mash of cards with Lisa (me), Prima chipboard box with accordian book with Jennifer, OR birthday album, Disney autograph book/album or the basics of scrapbooking with Ashley. Pheeew! I didn't think I would get thru that!!!

3.Picture This has card classes, wall art class and a "If friends were flowers" class using the Cricut machine. Check out the "Happy Hour" a mini class, for just $5 you walk away with a 2 page 8x8 layout, totally cool!
And of course no sb store is complete without a crop night! Join Picture This staff and scrappers every other Friday night from 6pm-12am for $10 have a great uninterrupted night of scrappin!
